About

“I believe dogs love us unconditionally and without expectations. And we owe them the same in return.”

A lifelong connection—now a dedicated path forward

Dogs have always been part of Dana’s life—long before they became her life’s work.

She followed her heart west for college and quickly knew Colorado was home.

Dogs have been lifelong sidekicks—from raising Labradors, to sharing life with a German Shepherd, and now with Roo, a Dingo/Red Heeler rescue (and the official Pawsome logo hero).

Before stepping fully into the world of dogs, Dana spent twelve years in marketing and graphic design with a companion animal pharmaceutical company.

While the creative work was rewarding, something was missing. She didn’t just want to market to the pet world—she wanted to serve the dogs in it.

Volunteer work with Animal House Rescue confirmed what her instincts had been telling her all along.

Today, Dana is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer specializing in positive reinforcement and confidence-building work. She is also a trained Family Dog Mediator, integrating Applied Ethology to better understand each dog’s natural behavior and needs.

By putting welfare first, she supports meaningful, lasting change—helping dogs and their humans build clarity, connection, and trust.

Dogs do best when they clearly understand what’s being asked of them—that’s what allows them to succeed and build confidence over time.

Because when dogs feel understood, they don’t just do better—they come into their own.
